It’s been a momentous year for the team at CQ. We welcomed new team members, hit some major milestones one after the other, chalked up successes and learned valuable lessons along the way. Here’s a look back at all that transpired in the last 12 months. We can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store for us!
Welcomed New Team Members At CQ
The past year has proven challenging for many, yet at CQ the arrival of new team members became a source of strength and hope. Though working remotely from various places can be trying, our collective spirit of collaboration was stronger than ever as we welcomed our new colleagues onboard.
Our international and diverse teams were able to work together from afar seamlessly because of our dedication to clear communication and mutual respect. We look forward to seeing what great things our combined efforts will achieve in the coming year!
How We Made Remote Working Work At CQ
Working remotely has always been a challenge – there are moments of highs and lows. At CQ, we are proud to provide an environment that fosters collaboration, inclusivity and support.
In an age of remote working, few companies are able to show just how they tackle the unique challenges that come with it. Through cartoon-styled images and texts, let’s take you on a journey through the realities of remote working.
#1. On-call Technical Glitches
Working remotely can be tricky at times, especially when setting up online meetings. The image above is a glaring reminder of the technical glitches we can encounter while attempting to connect. This is something that the team at CQ have become quite used to.
#2. Timezone Differences
Setting up meetings in the remote-working context can be a tricky process. With people located in different geographical locations, time-zone clashes come into play. In such cases, it is important to check in with both parties if the time being suggested for the meeting is convenient for all or not.
#3. Global Working
Working remotely enables global collaboration like never before. As the above image demonstrates, employees across vastly different time zones can work together; often with one in India almost finishing up a shift just as another in the USA is starting theirs.
The Times We Felt To Be On Top Of The World
At CQ this year, we achieved the extraordinary and pushed ourselves to recognize our full potential. It was a year of remarkable growth and progress as we steadily built up our successes throughout the season.
Some days, it felt like we were on top of the world, especially when our hard work paid off in milestones such as large accomplishments or celebrations over finishing a major project.
Whether it was success borne from personal responsibility or from the collective support of our team, these inspiring moments stayed with us long after they happened — a testament to the unending strength that drives us forward each day at CQ.
Some of the highs during the year that made us, at CQ, feel like we’re on top of the world include:
#1. Successful Live Webinars
One of our big achievements this year was the successful webinars we held throughout the year. Working in virtual settings meant that the whole team had to pull together to make sure we created engaging, fulfilling events for viewers.
Over the course of the year, we had as many as 6 webinars. They were as follows:
- How procurement can create value when buying consulting services?
- How to drive the RFP process for consulting services?
- How to manage a consulting project as a client?
- How to implement demand management for consulting?
- How does your consulting procurement maturity measure against the best?
- History of consulting: past, present, and future.
#2. Landmark 100th Episodes in SCS Podcast Series
Reaching the landmark 100th episode in our SCS podcast series was a huge accomplishment for everyone at CQ. After months of hard work, it felt like we had achieved something spectacular. We believe that embracing the highs and reflecting on them is essential for refueling ourselves and navigating our lives through all that lies ahead.
While all our SCS episodes bought something special to the table, we’ve identified a few episodes that really stood out for us. They are as follows:
- How can global sourcing be sustainable for consulting?
- How to build the right consulting agreement?
- Direct vs. Indirect procurement
- Consulting market is booming for consultants: How to stay ahead as a consulting buyer?
- Procurement strategy for the consulting category
- What does an MSA for consulting look like?
#3. Launch Of Our PGC Podcast Series
The launch of CQ’s Procurement Game Changers (PGC) podcast series was one of the highlights of the year. It allowed us to share stories and insights from procurement professionals and budding entrepreneurs in the field.
Moreover, it gave us unique perspectives from a diverse range of guests, and opened up new avenues for further exploration. We could not be more proud to have achieved this milestone and look forward to many more in the years to come!
Here’s a select list of some of our top “Procurement Game Changers” podcast episodes.
- How to attract university students to procurement as a career choice?
- How to create ideation channels in procurement to boost ownership and personal growth?
- How to leverage cooperative procurement?
- How to convince your business lines that procurement done right can create value?
- How to find the right profile for your procurement group?
- How to set up a procurement organization?
Looking Forward to 2023!
2022 was a great year for us at CQ and we are looking forward to an even better 2023! We accomplished a lot last year including adding new team members, hosting successful live webinars, reaching major milestones such as 100 episodes in our Smart Consulting Sourcing (SCS) podcast series, and launching our new procurement game changers (PGC) podcast series.
Another thing we have been working on in 2022 is the digitalization of our expertise to offer an integrated and differentiated solution focused on consulting. Fingers crossed, we should be ready to tell you more about it in January!
We hope to continue this success in the coming year as well, and we wish everyone a prosperous 2023! Cheers.
