“Let me share a story with you that perfectly captures the essence of why I am so passionate about this workshop. A couple of months ago, I was working with a prospect who was in need of consulting services. As a consultant myself, my area of expertise is helping businesses and executives buy consulting services in a smart and cost-effective way.
So, as I was discussing my value proposition with this prospect, I was taken aback when they told me that they did not care about saving money on consulting procurement because they viewed it as a strategic expense.
I was completely stunned. In a world that is still grappling with the aftermath of the pandemic and the impact of the Ukraine war, not caring about saving money where you can, seems like an incredibly foolish and objectionable mindset.
It made me realize that there are likely many other consulting buyers out there who are not taking advantage of the potential cost savings available to them. This realization led me to start thinking about creating a series of workshops for consulting buyers who may not be aware that they are leaving big bucks on the table.
Recently, I had an interaction with a client from EMEA who said to me, “Why did I not consider optimizing my ROI from consulting spend before?” This was the moment when I decided that it was time to turn my idea into a reality and create these workshops.
